Heartbeat Denver Working Men’s Shelter can’t achieve our mission alone. Our men pay fees (approximately $440,000) that bring in about 62% of our operating budget ($703,000).
We hope to make up the monetary shortfall from a variety of sources.
- Corporate Sponsors
- Foundations and Grants
- Churches
- Individual Donations
Your contribution makes a difference in the lives of men involved in our Program.
NOTE: At this time we receive no direct government funding. However, organizations affiliated with the justice system often provide housing vouchers to men being released from jail.
Other Ways to Get Involved
We receive substantial support beyond money, including donations of clothes, accessories, toiletries and computers. And we are fortunate to have volunteers who help in a wide variety of ways.
In-Kind Donations
- Men’s clothes, especially sizes XL, XXL, 2XL
- Individual Toiletries
- Books
- Tide Pods for laundry
- Ironing Board
- Iron
- Outdoor Bench
- Artificial plants
We receive food donations from We Don’t Waste, The Lord’s Bread Ministry, Corporate sponsors and a wide variety of churches and individuals.
Help Us Buy New Bunks and Mattresses
Our beds were originally donated from a girls dormitory over 30 years ago. They are under sized and standard single mattresses hang over the edge by about 3 inches. We have 100 beds. The cost of new Beds and Mattresses is approximately $100,000. We’d like to reach our goal by the end of 2025.
